Careers
Our Sixth Form careers provision aims to:
- Expose students to a variety of Post 18 transition routes, including Higher Education, Apprenticeships, School Leaver Schemes and Gap Years.
- Introduce students to the needs of the local labour market.
- Equip students with key competencies required for the workplace.
- Encourage students to take ownership of their careers learning.
- Support successful Post 18 transitions.

Sixth Form Careers Programme

Post 18 Transition Day Every student attends a presentation on Higher Education, Student Finance, Apprenticeships, School Leaver Schemes and Gap Years. Every student has the opportunity to ask questions of our alumni panel. This could include: • Personal guidance • Support with applications • Mock interviews • Help arranging further work placements • Referrals to other agencies providing CEIAG, such as DurhamWorks, Shaw Trust etc. |
