Internship
Internships are designed for self-motivated, ambitious students to explore a chosen career path and develop crucial transferable skills that will help them to stand out from the crowd. Students access a range of opportunities linked to a particular work sector, which include workplace visits, shadowing, projects, presentations and skills-based workshops. Interns may also access support to find strong work placements, mentoring, and other bespoke opportunities linked directly to their interests. The sixth form works with a range of business partners and alumni in order to offer first-hand knowledge and advice, helping each student to make the best decisions for themselves.
The programmes encourage students to push themselves academically and to aspire to be the best in their field. It is a competitive process that begins as the students join in Year 12 with a formal application process, giving students a valuable experience of writing applications and being interviewed.
Internships have been offered in the following industries:
- Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) Leadership
- Law
- Medical Science and Healthcare
- Primary Education
- Leadership and Management
